Hi everyone! Thank you so much for visiting my blog!

My name is Nina and I am 17 years old. I originally started this blog for a school project- I was going to challenge myself and try to go zero waste for two weeks. I struggled throughout those two weeks, and gave myself a bit of leeway, but I came out of it more aware of the garbage I and those around me produce on a daily basis, and that it is a big problem. Since school has ended, I have decided to keep this blog as a personal environmental blog, sharing ideas, stories, and hopefully teaching people a few things about what is going on in the world around them!

I will be attending university around a year from now, and hope to continue this blog to help other university students who want to make a difference but may feel a little constricted in their options of doing so.

I myself am a vegetarian and have been for three years. I also recycle and reuse as many of my products as I can. The bulk of my garbage consists of food scraps, as I cook many of my own meals and currently don’t compost.
